🧺 Ingredients

  • 120g white fish fillet (cod or haddock, cooked and flaked)
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1 tbsp oat flour
  • 1 tsp finely chopped parsley (optional)

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Poach the white fish in plain water until it flakes easily, then cool and check carefully for bones.
  2. Flake the fish finely into a bowl.
  3. Mix in the beaten egg, oat flour, and parsley to form a soft mixture.
  4. Spoon small portions into a lightly oiled pan or onto a lined tray.
  5. Cook gently until the egg is fully set — pan-fry on low heat or bake at 170°C (340°F) for 10–12 minutes.
  6. Cool completely before serving. Debone the fish thoroughly.
Nutrition: White fish is a lean, easily digestible protein low in fat, while egg adds complete protein and biotin. Parsley acts as a natural breath freshener.

📝 Notes

Ensure the fish is boneless and fully cooked, and the egg is completely set — never serve raw egg. A mild, low-fat treat suitable for sensitive stomachs. Store in the fridge up to 3 days.

⚕️ Before you cook for your cat

  • Homemade food must be balanced. Cats need taurine, and deficiency causes heart and eye disease.
  • Treat recipes are supplements to a complete diet, not a replacement for it.
  • Check any new ingredient against the toxic-foods list, and ask your vet before switching diets.
