🧺 Ingredients

  • 150g cooked turkey breast (finely minced)
  • 4–5 blueberries (mashed)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp oat flour

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a tray with parchment.
  2. Mash the blueberries lightly with a fork.
  3. Mix the minced turkey, mashed blueberries, egg, and oat flour into a firm dough.
  4. Roll into small balls and flatten into bite-sized discs on the tray.
  5. Bake for 13–15 minutes until firm and cooked through.
  6. Cool completely before serving one or two as a treat.
Nutrition: Turkey provides lean protein and the amino acid tryptophan, while a small amount of blueberry contributes antioxidants and a little natural sweetness that appeals to curious cats.

📝 Notes

Blueberries are a safe fruit for cats in tiny amounts — use only a few per batch, as cats are obligate carnivores and fruit should be minimal. Store airtight in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months.

⚕️ Before you cook for your cat

  • Homemade food must be balanced. Cats need taurine, and deficiency causes heart and eye disease.
  • Treat recipes are supplements to a complete diet, not a replacement for it.
  • Check any new ingredient against the toxic-foods list, and ask your vet before switching diets.
