🧺 Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 60g cooked plain chicken breast (shredded, no skin or bone)
  • 1 tbsp plain cooked pumpkin purée
  • A pinch of dried catnip (optional)

👩‍🍳 Method

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin or line with silicone cups.
  2. Whisk the eggs in a bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken, pumpkin purée and catnip until evenly combined.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  6. Cool completely before serving — offer one small bite at a time as a treat, not a meal.
Nutrition: Eggs are a complete protein rich in the amino acids cats need, while a little pumpkin adds gentle fibre to support digestion. The soft, moist texture makes these bites easy for kittens, seniors and cats with dental sensitivity to eat.

📝 Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to a month. Serve at room temperature. Keep treats to no more than about 10% of your cat's daily calories.

⚕️ Before you cook for your cat

  • Homemade food must be balanced. Cats need taurine, and deficiency causes heart and eye disease.
  • Treat recipes are supplements to a complete diet, not a replacement for it.
  • Check any new ingredient against the toxic-foods list, and ask your vet before switching diets.
